Beside the green of distant moor
Upon yon rocks in cold of frost
Whistling winds of love’s allure
sail feathered wings of passions lost

Silent the break of dawn in red
when whispers echo ‘pon soft ears
The mome of calm stifling their dread
as winds created flow of tears

From ages old of knight and maid
King’s scepters crown the gallant soul
when shining gold the metal paid
as bells on high above did toll

True hearts called in whispering flight
the love which grew beyond the wall
young maidens hiding from the sight
as knights in court of them paid call

‘Pon the grey rocks of seaside shore
Moorish mists bring chill the skin
where tales once told of knightly lore
and maids were court by gallant men

Magnus darling boy this is outstanding writing, as always you excel at whatever you write. Fabulous writing and this is so descriptive so vivid in its image of the knights the maidens and days of gallantry and derring do Like a master painter you’ve sketched in the outlines and filled the canvas with vibrant life.

Utterly utterly wonderful writing YOU darling boy never disappoint. Wonderful absolutely perfect poetry, YOU do know I utterly utterly love it don’t you? Of course you do

Love and warm stuff

I do like a poet who takes a little poetic license with the languages....

Hello Barry

You must surely be a descendant of William Shakespeare, are you not??  This was so beautiful.  Your words take me on a journey to another place in time and I look forward to that journey each and every time I read something of yours.

Take care......Sue

You are so good at these, Barry...
I think you are William Shakespeare, reincarnated.
