In a wasteland lies a scorpion and a falcon crest
among ruined pillars lies lost kingdom nests
awakened by the advent of a poisoned daggered king
who lifted yolks over oppressed, under rival's wing.

in between, lies a sorceress and her temptation
convinced of Acadian power and dedication
she allies herself to liberate her people from the yolk
confides in victors with her visionary power over folk.

caught in enemy clutches and then set free
heros gamble on female trophies, cause armies to lay seige,
eliminate the red sheathed guards of the imperial guard
terminate a witch's power as she is caught off guard

Desert sands see our hero form alliances with
a young ruby thief
plans his strategy to enter the capitol and free his fief;
they enter the front gates dressed as women
of the night
fool the stationed sentinels and barge in after a fist fight.

Our sorceress deceives her first love, there is a struggle
enemy forces align, orders are delivered in a huddle
battle for city control ensues,
the enemy sings the blues.

Tribal leaders bow and hail the scorpion king
A sorceress becomes a woman 'cause of her fling;
she now sees peace and prosperity in the land
delivered by a thoughtful warrior who extended his hand.

Great poem, Martin...your ability of rendering film to poem is admirable

(smiles) Wow, I too thought the same thing reading this, is this an overview of The Scorpion King movie with The Rock? (sigh) This is indeed a fascinating story, sweet friend, hopefully this movie is as good as your wonderful poem is, this is excellent, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Martin, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

LOL, ecrivan, are you talking back to yourself? Haven't seen the movies, but the poetry is very interesting.

Faterider,

really wouldn't recommend this if you're into meaningful dialogue...I did this thinking you never know maybe things change for action films of the muscleman sort, lots of muscle here, little in meaningful dialogue..I've heard so many of these lines
before
