Victoria, Tasha and me

~* Just A Simple Sunday *~

A simple Sunday with my kids in tow,
off to the playground at the shore we go.
Fish and chips, shared with the ones I love best,
a sunny day with family, yes, I’m truly blessed.

Soft promises of that summer breeze
like silk, dance over the sand and the seas.
The warmth of the sun warms my skin and so
my first summer blush begins to glow.

The ocean’s waves and water so blue,
wash over the shores my ancestors knew.
A setting so peaceful, calm and serene,
I pinch myself to see if I’m in a dream.

Wild flowers in fields up to our knees,
The air’s full of petals from the apple trees.
Tulips behind us on fire in their color
reach for the sun and grow so much taller.

Distant mountains loosing their cover,
snow runs off into streams to discover.
I saw an eagle soar in the clear white sky,
as Canadian geese in the pond swam by.

How beautiful is this scenery I see all around,
From the birds in the sky, to the grass on the ground.
What greater gift is there than a day outdoors,
Having fun with your family, getting away from chores?

My favorite playmate ~ Tori

Sharon,
Who 'dat in them Foster Grants? Now I'm showing my age, naw that was before my time. The rest of the scenery doesn't look bad either. Wish I were that multiply blessed! Awesome.

It's never too late to have a good childhood! Woohoo!

You're blessed? Seems to me that the kids are also blessed to have you and we are blessed that you allow us to peek into your life. Still pinching, huh?

(bet you had your feet tapping on this one! )

A beautiful presentation, Miss Mysteria!

Thank you all for reading this (yes Balladeer my foot was going, but it still can't follow through and fell off beat again!)   Well, I still feel kind of "punky" since coming home from Cape cod, but have to make time for my family, which as you can see I did. Thanks for sharing the day with us.

tis the simple things that become the most precious memories...
when asked what they remember most from their childhoods...most share a memory spent with grandparent.
Love seeing all your smiles...
what dolls they are...that Tori had one adorable smile!!

... and I don't know why ...
Why should love come down and just sweep me away
I want to fly ... but there are so many things in my way.

Ha! Tori is smiling now, but she wasn't when she was caught cutting her bangs!  We had to take her and have them chopped off, they were so bad.  I think I did this too, and I bet tons of little girls have done it as well.  JM - she is my life, and in my every breath!
