The mist hovers over the lake
As an eeriness dwells from within
The air is so still and peaceful
To break this silence would surely be a sin

I admire the image before me
Of skeletal trees reaching for the sky
And occasionally the silence is broken
By the call of a bird as it passes by

The mist moves silently around me
Bringing comfort that feels quite strange
In the distance I can see the highlands
So vast is this mountain range

I continue to sit here in silence
Appreciating nature like never before
Most of us see just the tip of the iceberg
But in our world there is so much to explore

Loved the presentation Sue, but the last two lines are the best advise I have seen in a while.  Taking time to smell the roses and see beyond "the tip of the iceberg" is what makes life worth living.  Loved this!
