know in vanity
see the clouds wrap themselves
in blankets
lest they show us too much
and lest we find ourselves actually
                    paying attention

feel in illusion
watch the wind caress itself
in hands
lest it flow through us too softly
and lest we find ourselves actually
                    knowing the words

read in time
observe the trees reach out with us
in branches
lest the clouds and the winds miss us
and lest we find ourselves actually
                    in the ground

hear in light
wonder where the real sun shades itself
from the cold
lest it burn the heart of one too open
and lest we find ourselves actually
                    needing the moon

very good structure, each verse has its own standing, an active little work, but very quiet and still...and it all comes together as a whole. My My, very well done Sven!

Very thought provoking. I like this philosophical side.

I love the flow and structure! This is a  poem that asks to be read and reread as it provokes new thoughts and questions with each glance - and that, my friend, is a sign of some gosh darn good poetry!
