You saw the pain behind my smile
And saw the sadness in my eyes
You felt the aching in my heart
As you held me while I cried

But on the day you came my way
All my tears began to dry
You gave my life new meaning
And you gave me wings to fly

The pain had soon dispersed
And my smile had now returned
Your love taught me many lessons
From you so much I learned

You gave me rays of hope
And a rainbow of every color
As you introduced me to your love
Affording me feelings like no other

You removed the cobwebs from my heart
As your love moved in to stay
My life improved tenfold
With all the love you brought my way

My old life is a fading memory
As I finally close its door
My soul embraces this new life
I now share with the man I adore
