Walking past the places that seemed so familiar To a world that makes no sense I hear "I only want to make you happy" Though none of that is true I live on Happy Birthday to Me Happy Birthday to Me Sometimes I can't even be happy on my birthday One fight after another I await calls that never come People that never show up at the door Through all of this is stress I move on Happy Birthday to Me Happy Birthday to Me Staring out the window hoping for--for-- I'm not sure, but I'm sure I'll know it when I see it I look out into the woods for a reflective sound of myself maybe talking or laughing In my head I drive myself crazy Through the raving madness I walk on Happy Birthday Dear Ladycat Tonight I will sleep with Sleep with the though that I made it Through it all I made it I'm one year older and one year wiser Happy Birthday to ME!!!!!!! Love, Ladycat *My Birthday was April 2nd and I enjoyed it. This was the piece that I wrote to make myself feel better on my special day. I hope that you all write pieces on your special day that make you feel good too. I love you all!* Live in my world just once and you'll find yourself enraptured. |

 Happy Birthday LadycatThanks for sharing your poem and your birthday with us. Mine is coming this Saturday, and I have been working on a poem for it, but for some reason I've been having writers block on that one....I seem to be able to write about everything else...but I've never written a birthday poem for myself before... Thank you thank you all so much for all of the love and support that you give me through everything that I go through. Sometimes I wonder if I would have made it without you. Your poetry has made me laugh, cry and helped me through all the hard times. It has been the greatest. This birthday was not just about me it was about everyone that I love and care about and that would mean all of you too. Thank you!!!! Mistletoe Angel- You know that is the first time that I have seen my real name posted anywhere around here. It was just strange. Live in my world just once and you'll find yourself enraptured. |
