she had furiously swept aside
any ambitions he had
as the red day turned
grey first and then black
as night dropped itself
behind heavy curtains
draped in dark clouds
blanketing the stars

he was left grasping cold rails
dressed in isolation
wondering why, where and how
had it all gone wrong

if only he had understood
what his mother meant
when she had said
"son, don’t play with fire
you might get your fingers burnt
and your heart scarred"

well, then he was just six
and only playing
with a modest match
now he was twenty six
and only playing
for his own life match

if only he had known
he was flirting with fire

(big hugggssssss) Oh Sudhir, this is so very sad but true, sweet friend, you can't play with matches or ther emay be no more flame to go around and with the fire out that one chance for happiness might be delayed! (sad sigh) This is well-said, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sudhir, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

You always thrill me with your perspective and word-weaving.

I really like:

he was left grasping cold rails
                        dressed in isolation
                        wondering why, where and how
                        had it all gone wrong

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

If people want to play with fire, I suppose they should wear asbestos gloves!---or wear a vestment of asbestos around their heart...

Our mothers were right!

It's hard to pull yourself away from the warmth that you desire once you get a feel for the fire.

I felt the chill in your words and I'm sorry.

It's good to read you sudhir~  Take care.
