Cynara's prayer

the time:is 400ad
the place:England
Queen Cynara is about to lead her tribe of Celts into battle against the invading Saxons

I praise all true Gods!
Gods of yesterday,tomorrow and today.
Gods of the valley and of the mountain
Gods of the grove and of the forrest

I am your daughter Cynara
I seek you!I need you !
I am here to be heard
Draw near and hear me all true Gods.

I will bring you a bridled ox with a scarlet band
I will bring warm wine to the halls of the dead
I will bring you a steel sword flashing bright
I will bring you the death rattles of unbelievers

Give me the gift of hate and the joy of vengeance
Give me your shield for my  protection
Give me the strength of Laoghaire the battle winner
Protect me from Oisin ,false God of my foe

Give me the cunning of the hounds
And I will sacrifice my captives before your alters
Give me the owls ears and the eyes of the eagle
And I will bury them with rich grave goods

I turn to the right and beseech the Sun God
Conqueror of the baleful star
I turn to the left and greet the Moon Goddess
Night candle of the seekers

I am your daughter ,Cynara!
Mother of spirits yet unborn
Servants of the true Gods
Past all measurable time.

Give me victory this day
Place the royal crown on my head
Sceptre and orb in my hands
Give me victory over the saxon

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Very powerful write Michael..
But I do love your P.S. at the end..
Cynara sounds a little frightening..
but she is probably just misunderstood, right?
