See the slide that darkness calls
down and down to darkened halls
where the soul will never shine
and held by black, no hope is mine.

Up the steps, come climb again
touch the fresh renew of rain
here the truth in love is heard
listen to its healing word.

In the rush of whine I find
that time flies past, in bitter bind
where nothing moves but all things go
a place held back with ice and snow.

The wind blows clear and fresh to you
surrounds your heart with love so true
and here the touch of this is real
reach out your hand to touch and feel.

Feel the darkness closing in
wrapping all, in shreds of sin
where pain can grow and overwhelm;
a rudderless, lost, drift from helm.

Darkness comes, yes it is true
and yet it doesn't threaten you
the  dark is warm and filled with this
the touch of rest from hollow bliss.

Taste the bitterness of tongue
when no words form, I come undone
feel the hopeless reign of grief
that closes in with no relief.

Drink from my cup beloved one
you'll see inside the warmth of sun
you are safe here no fear of pain
I'll protect you from its reign.

My eyes are dry, my heart is sere
and no solace finds me here
here among the place of bones
where my soul dies in dusty tomes.

I touch your eyes now look and see
the perfect place for us to be
the earth is full of love and bliss
receive the touch of love in this.

See the smile upon my face
it echoes from an empty place
for all is lost and hope is gone
with no more strength to carry on.

Smile once more, please smile for me
you need not be so melancholy
the fight is won and we are free
we'll march to joy just you and me.

For me, there can be no rewind
trapped here within this sorrowing mind.

Rewind the past - no wipe it clear
you have no need to feel soul's fear.

For all the dark I'll bear with you
together we can see this through.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Oh my!!!!  This is truly magnificent!!!  I mean that!  It spirals down, then floats back up....I love the way the thoughts combine to make it such a lovely ride.  Great, great writing, and hope to see more duets by you two!

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy soul, and let the magik happen!  ~~S~~

What a dynamite duet!!! I love this, ladies... either work could stand alone... but they're woven so beautifully... just as hope and despair so often reside curled up around each other... which one we see depends on our perspective of the moment. *S* Excellent work!

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Kethry and Msrsha, I just love the feel and concept of this write, it all truly comes together and in the delicate spiral the colors can blend together to gray! (sigh) This is marvelous, sweet friend, this should be a Reflections submission I think, God Bless You Both, we all love you both so much! You have such beautiful hearts, sweet Kethry and Marsha, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Sunnyone it is true that Keth is an amazing writer, she has the ability to spin words into webs of wonder, and across an amazing range too. Every now and then she sends a little verse or two to me to play with, she does this because she is amazingly sweet and caring, on top of which she likes to prod me into action. Left to my own devices I will sit and ponder about life and do not a lot. At this particular time, when writing is so very difficult for me, Keth needs to shake me a little more than usual and being the beloved sister she is to me she does so. This poem was very easy to do, Keth writes so well that it is impossible to write so badly that the poem is unreadable. (although my writing isn’t the best she forgives me)

Thank you beloved one for the gift you are and for continuing to shine your light for me, you truly are the haven my soul seeks in times of darkness, the touchstone that keeps me rooted in reality.

Love you always
And forever

Justblue and Noah, this isn't a book submission because although my beloved Keth's writing is good enough for the book, mine isn't right now. I haven't submitted anything for the book those who love me as much as I love them all know why that is. In the future I might wish I had been included but right now isn’t my time.

As to all the others who’ve read and commented, as I’ve said writing with Keth is a joy, I defy anyone to find fault with her amazing gift for spinning such wondrous webs of poetic beauty.

Beloved one,
as always you are too kind. See how she thrusts me forward, while standing in my shadow.

Thanks to all who commented. Noah, Marsha is half right it is not because her writing is not good enough that I did not submit but more because this little write was to serve a particular purpose of getting Marsha writing again and I did not consider it worthy to be in the book.
