Odd Man Out

One gray cloud,
Against a sky of blue.
One black sheep,
Amongst a field of white.
One small petunia,
Within an onion patch.
One gold leaf,
Surrounded by a tree of green.
One unspotted lady bug,
Amongst a leaf of spotted.

So little peculiar,
Contained by so much normal.

I am the odd man out…

Tanya

And here, my friend, you are amongst those who also share that distinction!  Loved this one...because of the solitary nature of writing, I've always felt a little this way. You put into words how artists usually feel!
Thank you for the read...excellent!

Accept these small gifts from my gypsy soul, and let the magik happen!  ~~S~~

Beautiful poem, and if you dont mind me saying, by a bueatiful woman. ;o)

And ummmm if you do mind me saying ...err... uh pretend i didnt say it!~ o)

A dream is but a dream, you can wake up.  Reality is ultimate, and those who share it with us are far more important than anything we could remember,

I think your words are so truely beautiful. They seemed to have flown with ease from your heart. I like honesty in ones words. This was my first read of your work. I hope there will be more to come for me to see!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad you live 1500 miles from Southern California..... My son (a Happy Mutant) read this poem and immediately wanted to know where you lived.....

He takes after his pappy, and has gone through exactly the experience that you describe so well here.
