I am forever Jung in perspective.
For I free my SELF
by finding myself within
the WHOLE of humanity.
Our collective primordial imagery
colors my rainbow,
shadows my bright spots,
merges all my thoughts,
hopes and dreams
into ONE.

And keeping my eyes
upon the WHOLE
keeps me focussed,
forever Jung.

**************
Thank you Carl Jung, Swiss Psychiatrist 1875-1961,
whose psychoanalytical theories help keep my eyes upon the Whole of humanity.

Kacy,

What a clever way to incorporate the ideas and philosophies of Carl Jung.  The title put a smile on my face.  Though--a difficult idea to actually make work within a poem--I do believe that you executed this very nicely.  It's hard when the ideas are so abstract, but being familiar with Jung myself--I did get the message you were relaying with your imagery.

Thank you for sharing this,

--Matt

LOL, Dunc, no, but I'll bet you sure do.
So, will you enlighten me or are you just teasing this morning?

Thank you, Matt! Sometimes it seems difficult to incorporate abstract ideas into poetry. But Jung made it easy for me to grasp many abstract thoughts, so I wanted to thank him, poetically.

Ya, ya, i know..don't nag!

seriously, i was struck by this astute and profound observation...it's really deceptively simple~we humans are so darned self-absorbed...

congrats on passing 9000+ posts by the way

LOL at your reply, Kaile. I hadn't even noticed the number thing.
BTW, I was hoping you'd submit a PHOTO poem to Reflections. Maybe I should HINT at which one? Or do you have a new one I haven't read yet? Even a real-time photo would be totally cool.
A not-so-subtle hint.

Ah Kacy as a huge admirer of Jung I was captured by the title and mesmerized by the words. An excellent homage.

(smiles) Oh Kacy, this is wonderful, sweet friend, I too admire Jung's work ever so much, especially how he seems to divide the conscious and the unconscious, saying the ego is all that is conscious, and the unconscious taken into two accounts, that of the personal and the collective, where he likes to call the collective "psychic inheritance", that we always have deep inside of us, and how he uses "archetype" to describe these images in learning of new experiences. (smiles) As you can see, I too am deeply touched by his philosophy, so be immersed in the center, God Bless You, you have my vote, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Thank you Noah. Wow, you really have read Jung, and understand his works. But that doesn't surprise me at all, considering how much knowledge you have acquired.

DLY, thank you for that reply.

the title got me - it was great.

and the way you drop concpet words into the poem was really cool, anyone who has read Jung could not help but smile.

Thank you!
I had originally submitted this one for the book. I am still happy with this poem, but the one closest to my heart's song has finally spilled from my pen, so I've submitted 'The Iris of God' instead of this one for the upcoming Reflections book.
Thanks to each of you who voted, I will always treasure this input from my fellow poets!
