* * * *

I swim beneath the ocean
Amongst waves of deepest green
This place is ever changing
With so much beauty to be seen

I travel beside large vessels
As I guide them out to sea
I am playful and intelligent
Humans have befriended me

And throughout the dead of night
You'll hear the whales mournful cry
As the moon shines like a beacon
The stars punctuate the sky

All too soon the night has ended
As dawn brings a brand new light
But for now I'll disappear
Beneath the covers of the night

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Whenever I'm out in my boat I always see schools of dolphins.  They're truly amazing, beautiful and graceful.  Feeding them is always a lot of fun.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

Oh Sue, this is a beautiful write. I love dolphins, although I have never seen one except on television. I would just be in heaven if I could touch one  - they are so playful and sweet. The pic is awesome as well. This should be in the book! Chris
