You colored the world orange and I ate it,
you said it was pink and I believed it,
blue and my trust let you fly it,
green and my dependence grew it.
But now my world is crystal clear
and the only color remaining is black...
with elevated regard for your capabilities
I must add, you have black in abundance.

I thought and I thought and I thought
that we were done of this, that I had written
out all the pain. Both anger and hurt were all but
purged and I most certainly left no place
unrecorded for hate to hide in. But until today
I had not acknowledged that there is
more pain in this world than
there are words to write it.
