In her little pink crocheted hat
Wrapped in her matching pink blanket.
She had rosy red cheeks
And a smile sent from heaven.
As I held her in my arms
Happiness filled my soul
My newborn love
A small gift from the lord above.
She gave a slight yawn
Her eyes where still closed.
But when I looked at her I saw
The most beautiful treasure of all.
Never did I think a day like this would come.
No fear or regret.
As long as she’s in my arms
This feeling I will never forget.
She completed my soul that night.
Gave me a taste of what I’ve wanted my entire life.

Beautiful!  Took me back to the "newborness" of my 3 children.  You will always remember these moments with your tiny treasure.  My son is now 20, and I still remember those days as if they were only yesterday.  Thank you for reminding me.

Mother's tenderness and infinite awe for the immense gift from Above!
Touchingly beautiful.
