i had a very strange dream with an alligator which was trying to eat me, and it bit me, but couldnt actually penetrate my skin with its teeth.
its also strange because i live in australia where we have crocodiles...but heres what i wrote when i woke up
the alligator stalks
a foreign enemy in native surroundings
poised to pounce, daring to devour
impatient strike, consequent failure
or success, masked to save the victim from insanity?

Though dreams can be deceiving
Like faces are to hearts
They serve for sweet relieving
When fantasy and reality lie too far apart
- Fiona Apple
