Saluting with misty eyes

Reach out and touch someone
Long distance 800 meters no more
Lead them on if they're walking away
Duck and cover from a 7.62 love of their own
If there is doubt show all the love you can
Love them to death It is the only way
One heart returns home with no love left
The other is forced to remain alone
Forever we will remember your face
Until we forget you all as one
The love you gave and sacrificed to receive
Because you were taught it was the thing to do

This was written after watching footage of a firefight on tv. For those that don't know, the military weapons used by the Marines and Army in Iraq fires a 5.56 mm round (roughly a .22) the Iraquis are firing 7.62 (or about .32).

Yes...  they were "taught"...  Is this why education funding continues to be cut...?

(big hugggsssssss) Yep, as long as others let them just keep chopping that education fund, soon we'll be back in the Bronze Age! (sad sigh) This is so very well-written, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Bradly, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

....meaning the point at issue is whether shock or penetration is superior...hmm, shock, or penetration, shock, or penetration....the makings of a poem itself, eh?

But maybe one for the Adult forums.....
