Faith in the light of day rationalizes
forgive, it makes the ticking of
each passing moment
plausible.

But the night is greeted with a
you are not welcome scowl.
The night and I, we are not
friends.

The darkness feeds upon the
direction my head is spinning,
full of lies, too much to
internalize.

I would walk away the haunting
but it counts my foot steps
and tally’s them insufficient,
forever I shall be one short of
finished.

And when the freedom of utterly
exhausted takes hold of my eyes
remembrances shake me and
un-forget takes custody
again.

Daytime’s forgive is prepared
to lean upon a higher power,
but the darkness of forget
is mine alone.

the torment of our own internalized thoughts...the struggle to let go of things that in night times..with the usual greeting of reality... makes it hard indeed at times
to find any reason to enjoy a full moon or stars that crack open heavens black bowl..

daylight is easier...

we can see the demons then...

JB,

Yes, the torment of forget. You captured it well. Enjoy your writing and glad to see you post.

As many times as I've been awed by your ability to paint poignance with your words, you'd think I'd be expecting my "good glory, how does she DO that?" reaction... but you still surprise and captivate. *S* Excellent work, Lovey! (now go to sleep *G*)
