Above, darkened skies shattered by
millions of stars as a breeze lightly
rustles red, white and blue...

Sentries abounding, vigilant...
waiting, wondering, never knowing
if peril watches from beyond a
dune.

Waves gently lap a sandy shore
as gulls cry, crabs scurry and
countless small fish swim in
endless clouds..

Peaceful, waiting for an eagle to
fly, soar the night air. Calm...

A lull before a storm
comes to this quiet land.

In the distance, a baby cries
as a mother calms it.  Hunger
knows no hour, only the
need.

Freedom knows no hour,
nor does the quest to retain
what has been so gallantly
won...

God Speed!

Well written piece dear Magnus. May God watch over all of us, all the world over in this tense and turbulent time. Chris

Magnus...you have been silent so long, but speak when we most need to hear the voice of those, who know...
