Rachel Corrie
stood her ground
until that ground
was bulldozed

she waved for the dozers to stop
not knowing she was waving
her final goodbye...
she stood her ground

goodbye Rachel,
human shield

**************************
Today's news from the ME:
(exerpt)
Witnesses said Rachel Corrie from Olympia, Wash., was trying to stop the bulldozer from tearing down a building in the Rafah refugee camp, witnesses said, when she was buried. She was taken to Najar hospital in Rafah, where she died.

I think you are secretly a folk singer m'self...and yes, she does indeed deserve a tribute.

I feel a kinship of spirit with both you and her--

thanks for this'n, and all that you do...

little fighter that you are! and hugs.

Dixie, it is senseless, crude, cruel, and does nothing to further the cause of Israeli, Middle East, World Peace to bulldoze another human being.
I am ashamed, for all of the inhumanity we seem to daily be capable of inflicting upon ourselves.
thanks for taking a moment out of your day to reflect on this

Thanks for helping me through this one, Raph. I'm going to be very busy tonight, with a candlelight vigil for PEACE.
Now I'll have to take along an extra candle, to beg forgiveness for another episode of our senseless stupidity.

You are welcome Eric. But I'd sure prefer to NOT feel a need to write such a thing ever again.
May Peace prevail in every heart, and learn to respect and enjoy Life.

(tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Kacy, this is horrible, I can't believe some people can defy ones words and heart like that and in response just kill someone like that, that is not just murder, that is tampering freedom of speech and is basically spitting on someones face! (wipes tears) I hope that bulldozer gets retribution for what was done and the courageous woman gets a deserving memorial for what she did and inspire many others to follow her lead, my prayers are with her family and friends, we all love you so much, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Kacy don't burn your hands, if you're going to light a candle for every act of stupidity you'll start a fire that could take out half the earth..oh wait..maybe we should

Raph, maybe a candle for each lost soul? That glow would surely be seen from outer space.
I have no expectations that we can stop the war machines with a candlelight vigil, but hopefully, we can light a pathway to some kind of understanding and dialogue that may prevent this madness from becoming a global conflict.
