I can paint a picture
using words.
to be seen, felt, and heard.
forgivingly enmeshed within the viewer
who reads and sobs
with regretful viewing...

reliving missed moments,
old plans lain waste.
revisit a dead spouse
who still breathes somewhere,
sometimes-
in the depths of your soul-
shaking it- squeezing it
encompassing it with a furious love stronger than death;
for the missing.

Else tha canvass need be flowery and reek of pleasantries-
a memory's smile
surfing the breeze
on a warm spring day...
...smelling the wonder of life.
a cacophony of feeling
letting the viewer feel re-birth
and allowing herself the slightest bit of selfish happiness
because the further creation of feeling
begat by my painting
is from herself.
for whatever purposes.
my hand sweats from the possibilities.

Yes, you can! And this poem is evidence of it.

Welcome to Passions. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Enjoyed greatly,

Hugs, Pat

Welcome to passions. I can tell you are an outstanding poet. I love what you put here

I wrote this short collection of words in 1994 to thank the muse that is life for allowing me to recognise its being.

Hopefully I have pointed out that I am lost without the reader...stupid from ineptitude without the honest love and pain that you and I as poets can sniff in the air.

There was a man that traded socks with me lo these many years ago when I was down on my luck in Santa Rosa, CA...

Without him, and those like him, I would be dead. Numb to what occurs about me, and stoney in my soul.

Thank you, sir.

And thank you all for sharing those things that you notice and feel with the rest of us.

Brian

machiner...I feel much the same way, about life, and writing it.  Thanks for sharing here about yourself.
