wondering how you can be so patient and understanding of me How you keep loving me waiting for me to make the most important commitment of our lives You have been ready to make this commitment to marriage for almost five years now But still you love me so much that you are willing to wait for me until I am completely ready Sometimes I think you would be better off without me and all my past hurts and heartaches that have left scars How can you be so understanding of me when I can not even understand myself my own fears, my own doubts When those come into my mind and I tell you about them, I know that it hurts you deeply I try not to tell you, but you know me so well by now that you know whenever I am feeling fear and doubt Your patience with me and your understanding of me make me love you even more You have stood by me through all my problems and helped me with your trust, with your love I hope that I will not wait so long that your patience runs out because of my own fear because of my own doubt |

Ethel, I like this honest review. But, if scars are the healing process, and protection over the wound, how can they be the problem? Too often I didn't heal the infection which set into my wounds and I needed to dig out all that misery before real healing scars of protection could take place. How wonderful you have a man who stands beside you in patient understanding. You captured that so well here. True love of the most authenic kind. It reminds me of my own fear and doubt and belief that I was truly unlovable and that all that happened must have been ~my fault~. Such folly! You are lovable just as you are! Ken, though I know it may be hard to believe, I used to keep everything inside of me. Gary has encouraged me to let those feelings out, whatever they are. He knows more about me than anyone has ever known before. He also reveals things to me that he's never told anyone else. Thank you for your comments. I really appreciate them.
