Rhymes

This poem is all about rhyme -
it won't make sense half the time.
Rhymes run through a poet's heart
So many words, where do we start?
Rhymes rage and rapidly run
used for structure or just simple fun.
Gives it balance and adds some tone
going without ever leaving  home.
Gives it description and content
gives us clues and little hints.
Makes us smile and makes us laugh
so hard we nearly collapse.
Makes us cry a tear or river
Makes us cringe and even quiver.
Allows our minds to imagine and wonder
is it God or merely thunder?
Takes us on a journey and a little excursion
when we need a simple diversion.
Lifts us up when we are down
lets us hear when there is no sound.
Reminds us of people we have known
and places we have been shown.
Lets us run while we walk
gives the quite kid a chance to talk.
Help us in so many ways -
rhymes,
how can we ever repay?

Listening to every heart

Rhymes were in my nursery schemes,
passed my time and grew my dreams,
rhymes were taught in beat of heart,
and from my rhymes I shall not part...

enjoyed this RK....

(smiles) Oh James, this is wonderful, sweet friend, rhyme truly is the tempo of God, it makes everything come alive and so much more possible that has yet to be recorded in the studio of life! (big hugggssssss) This is fantastic, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet James, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

I love to read and write rhyme. Together, rhyme and rhythm make up the melody of a poem's song! Loved the title--and your rhymes!

Warm hugs,

A rhyme here
a rhyme there
We love to rhyme
all the time
This we like to do
me and you
So the melody
we can hear and see
