I can wear the T-shirt.
I can write the newsletter.
I can even count the number of dead next week
in the nation's leading newsweeklies.

I won't be stopped in the airport.
I won't be arrested at the mall.
Give dead rights a rest, my friends.
And let's give war a chance.

I know it's over.

Very ironic twist on this, bsquirrel.

Hey, it almost looks like you're kissing that skull!

Mike, you really need to explain that picture....LOL...
It's kind of distracting, if you know what I mean...HaHa!!  It looks to me like you are finishing up at eating the top of the skull and are almost to the brain food...LOL

Glad you enjoyed the poem. It was inspired by hearing about the lawyer who was arrested for wearing a "Give Peace a Chance" t-shirt at the mall he purchased the shirt from.

My mind immediately thought If he had worn "Give War a Chance" he would have been fine.

So this is the result. And the photo is to remind you that I don't take myself seriously. After all, I'm only a poet.

ROTFL. Yep, that was a bizarre story and your interpretation was ...well, let's just say....only a poet could offer such a creative interpretation. LOL. Aw shucks, it's all over already and I didn't even get the chance to go picket that mall!
If I had taken my T shirt off! It might have been great fun! do you think I'd have been arrested for doing as I was asked?  HMMMM
