Hold Back!

Give a man a fish, and
you feel good for a day;
teach him to fish, and,
well, then there wouldn’t
be anything to feel good
about tomorrow, would there?

nice social comment... and perhaps an insight into all of us....

you need bait..a pole..and some line with a hook...

RatLeader~
Interesting enough take-off on an old saying, but ... teach a man to fish ... and when he shares his first catch with you ... now THAT'S a 'feel good' for tomorrow !

James Thurber could have done no better. It was short, however, there is that thing about small packages, isn't there????
I totally enjoyed it.

Hi, Martie -- you should know that, since you and a half dozen other PIPers are the ones teaching me to catch 'em......

this brought back a memory of my brother and me...a conversation we had about my life...and now I realize just how shallow he was when he was trying to teach me to fish. Thanks for this...I might even send it to him...nah, that would only start another fight...

Alternate ending:

"Or, teach him
to fight, then
sit back and
watch the fun."
