light beams from the sky

flowers spring forth in renew

lovers of earth dew

***

mountain tops ablaze

sunset fires the hot day

passion warms the night

**

feeder fight frenzy

chickadees at the seed bowl

curious battle

become waves of PEACE

These are wonderful spring haikus. Just two days ago, we had spring weather. Then, the next day it was freezing again. I am so ready for the spring to come and stay.

Yes, and I'd bet our friends on the east coast are saying the same thing!
Think spring, rebirth, and focus on the color blue.....

Nice spring poem.. lol. Thanks for sharing.

I wish to become a great poet some day, but it will only come in time. Til then, I shall write my poems, and wait.

Thank you for sharing your talent with us.  I so enjoy the Japanese forms of poetry.  I specially liked the "Feeder fight frenzy..." Nicely crafted.

Hi Kacy,
I loved these spring haikus this morning. I am SO ready for spring to be here in Florida again. It rained yesterday and it's cold again today...really bad flu and cold weather....which I've had my share of this year.....Ugh!

Hope everyone is digging out OK,
it sounds like the entire east coast is getting five years worth of snow in one storm!
