             “A SUNDAY MORNING’”
                            by

Have you ever touched toes lying in bed together,
the windows wide open, and a cool breeze blowing,
just cuddling and snuggling, holding each other tight
    and it was all happening,
        on a beautiful Sunday morning…

Your eyes stared at him, and his eyes stared at you,
no words needed to be whispered or spoken,
because that warm tender embrace with each other,
    was loves song for two,
        with all adoration…

Blankets pulled up to both chins, and bodies toasty,
fingers are walking, talking, and senses are awakening
feelings are deep inside, like you haven’t felt in awhile,
for it was all starting to come together,
        on a Sunday morning…

And under those warmish covers you both touched,
with an embrace a little closer, and sighing together,
it doesn’t matter if it’s six a.m., or whether it’s nine,
for you and him are knowing,
that this morning things are better…

So when you lie on your bed late at night and go to sleep,
and you awake early the next day, and both are still adjusting,
just make sure that the soft breeze blowing is chilled,
    and you’re both
        cuddling and snuggling,
            on a Sunday morning…

I wish my sunday mornings were like that! All I have are my two cats sitting on my head when i wake up!

Im glad you left this open for submissions!

A dream is but a dream, you can wake up.  Reality is ultimate, and those who share it with us are far more important than anything we could remember,

I read this once and then had to again an hour later for I was still smiling.  Thanks, Bill.  I'll be thinking about this piece all day long.  Very nice.

bill, each new poem of yours gets better i think, the messages within them, the passion, and complete love. sigh...... this should go in as a reminder to the whole world to appreciate those 'moments' as they are precious, and reading your poem, it says exactly that.
you're one of a kind dear sir, keep writing us more!
lots of love, gemma xxxxxxxxxxxx

learning each day, for you and i, our paths have met, i've already learnt that you are love.

This is a cozy, cuddly kind of fun feeling, Bill.
The only thing better would be
to have it happen Monday
through Saturday too. *s
