~ By Sue ~ For the feelings that I have inside There are no words to describe The emotions that I feel today Which have changed from yesterday Sometimes the passion is still there From when I showed how much I cared The day your love creeped up on me And caught me off guard you see With the tenderness you had shown My love for you continued to grow And I finally gave into you Because I thought your love was true I had no intention of getting involved Again, in this thing they called love An emotion that never seemed to last Was one I had left, back in the past This emotion that you made me feel I want you to know was so real And is one I had only felt with you When, I thought your love was true But now that our lives are over And my life feels so much better There is only one thing I ask from you Will you please give my heart back to me, too 3-2-03 |

Wondeful. Hope you get it back- though while you may be missing your heart, your poetry sure isn't. That's what we, as heroes, do. We live as if the world were like it should be, to show the world what it could be. |

good write Sue! This reminds me of one I wrote called Restitution, where I talk about him stealing my heart and breaking it...and not even giving it back, like I could do much with a broken heart anyhow... |

Sue, I know from experience that whenever someone breaks your heart, it takes time for it to be put back together and healed. I know, too, though, that once you meet someone else, they can help your heart to mend.......that is, if you aren't too scared to let them. Sometimes those fears creep in when you think they're all gone. I get fears at times now, even though I couldn't ask for a more sweet and loving and compassionate man than I have now. I am just so thankful that he is so patient with me. Heart Hugs, Ethel |
