Don't know if any of you will be able to help me or not.  But here goes...

I am using an iMac, OS 9.1.  Graphics application: Fireworks 4 with Dreamweaver.
I have created an animation involving text.  The text has no movement, but goes from 0% opacity to 100% opacity over about 30 frames.  It is merely a text fade in effect.  It works fine in preview mode in fireworks, and when I export it as an animated gif.  But when I export it as an swf file (Flash), it has a strange anomoly.  The text jerks a few pixels horizontally as the animation plays... kind of like a nervous "tic".  Cannot identify the problem.  Any suggestions?

Stephen.

you can choose the number of frames that you want, but I chose 30... I thought that more frames would yield smoother animation.  Is that strange?  Please tell me since I am a graphics newbie.  I don't think this is related to the above mentioned problem though, since it worked fine as an animated gif.

I personally haven't worked with either one, though I have them.

Try shortening the frames some and see if that helps.

Maybe if you make it in Flash?? Maybe Flash is having a hard time supporting it?
