Poodles and Labradors,
Postmaster General
Asked a young mailman, "Son,
How did it go?"

"Great," said the mailman, "My
Paranoidectomy
Keeps old Winchester from
Running the show."

Nan darling girl, you know I’m going to say this is good, okay it’s much better than good, okay yes darling girl it’s excellent.

How do you manage to do these? I am awed by your ability to write the most complicated verse structures and make them appear simple. I know they are not

You are an absolutely fabulous writer I love the way you’ve constructed this. Well done darling heart as I’m said before YOU dear one are an excellent poet

Dear Marsha,
I sweated over this, be careful it may still be damp.  These are not easy things to do.  I think you would be a natural to do some.  In my first one, I used 'nymphomaniacal' as my double dactyl word. I make you a present of it-it's slightly used but I'm sure it has lots of wear left.

Hi Nan,

Marsha told me that you were terrific at these, whatever they're called, nonsense poems?  Are there any rules, or just use creativity?

How about:

Zwowschmoochahog
A frog on a log
Tasting bug jelly
Said rivet to me with glee.

I thought he was swell
Until some frog jell
Aquikslurpy'd over me
As he licked a flea off my knee.

Lol Nan, you are great at these.
I wonder if I would get a paranoidectomy for my next birthday if I asked. I could sure use it.
*Huggles* For the talent.

Floria, Please do one. I look forward to seeing it.
Bill, it's a bit different for me, but when the sweating was over, I enjoyed it.
Newell, But jelly? Yucch! But cute poem. The form for thedouble dactyl is this:       Rules for double dactyls. Dactyl-DUHduhduh

First quatrain:
1. double dactyl nonsense
2. double dactyl name
3. double dactyl
4. single dactyl plus a stressed syllable.

Second quatrain:
1. double dactyl
2. double dactyl(either this line or the one
before must be a single double-dactyl word)
3. double dactyl
4. single dactyl plus stressed syllable. Must
rhyme with ‘4’ in first quatrain.

Hope you do one!

Kethry, I need a round dozen --ectomies to do any real good.

peaches, Thank you so much.

Nan (I feel like I'm doing a soliloquy) Thanks!

Marge,
How kind of you. Do one for me. I demand it.

Michael,
Thanks-glad you enjoyed it.

Nan

Dear Noah,
You need to do one! It will strain your brain, at least it did mine. But you'll have fun.
