I was inspired to write this poem after reading Sherry's wonderful poem "As I Am" and seeing that gorgeous image she added, and I got this beautiful dream in my head...

Swan Smooch
By: Noah Eaton
2/24/02

Two swans rock upon the crystal shore
Phantoms of lovers dreams conjoining reality
Feverfew coronets enshrouding serpentine desires
Where the swans of lovers hearts finally meet

Sparrow grass strums with the crickets bayou blues
Moonlight scatters across the water with angel ambrosia
Falling stars leap like gazelles across the night sky
The passion of the evening begins with a kiss of sangria

The swans of lovers hearts cuddle, beak to beak
Slender necks forming the shape of a heart magically
This sweet kiss tying the knot of a forever's promise
A vow of eternal courtship, enlaced in ribbons of thanksgiving

One man, one woman, find true love this magical moment
Two lovebirds of God, sailing away into happiness
Feathered by the moonlight, ruffled in tears of angels
Receiving those extra feathers to see loves eternal glimpse...

Noah hi there, this is so pretty and so visual, mum (Mushy) said you were an excellent writer and you are, my mum is never wrong about things like that. Other things in abundance yes, but never about quality writing.

I wish you and your Joanna joy, I have watched your romance grow and I really do think you are both fine poets.

You’re wrong you know Noah, I never write anything, I simply love to read, so there won’t be any poems inflicted on your eyes from me. Honestly you would all say now that is not just bad poetry but it is dire poetry. The type of writing that needs to be mercifully put to death, the type that euthanasia was invented for. If my writing were a person it would be shot on sight and the marksman who did the dirty deed would become a national hero. So I promise no poems from me.

This however is excellent poetry
