Naked Access

she had asked him
for a rose
a symbol for love
I suppose
to be placed
on her door
if he loved her
anymore
when she
got there
she found it

bare

"Pour yourself thick, when it is you, that you spread."

I am undressed by this feeling of poem you write.

It is simple in its power.

Wow. It didn't take very many words for you to say volumes with this one. Effective.

But...but...what she didn't know is that the little kid next door saw it laying there, picked it up and took it home to his mommy...

OOPs...sorry!  Couldn't help myself.

Really very pretty...so much said in so little and very efficiently too.

Loved this...
