Undaunted Love

You always seemed to do this to me.
Your love can carry me,
Effortlessly through the day,
And the nights without you,
By my side are filled....
With the magic of dreams,
Where we hold each other tight,
And promise never to let go.

Such souls are we that obstacles,
Like time and distance that affect,
Have just the opposite effect on us.
We long and miss and will not leave.
Our hearts are linked inseparably.
We spend our time together over wires,
And spend the time apart,
Inside each others’ mind and heart.

A love like ours is special.
And meant to last a lifetime.
And I can see the time grow shorter,
When you’re finally here by me.
It is then we won’t forget,
The gift, the miracle God’s granted us,
Our two halves make a whole complete.
Time cannot harm nor distance defeat.

When I finally see your face again,
And you see me as well,
Our eyes will meet, our lips will touch,
This is what I long for so much.
Our hearts embracing now from a distance.
Will find nothing in the way.
And the magic and the miracle of our love,
Will keep us close together till that day.

Cherish the good memories past and look forward to the adventure called Tomorrow.
But above all... be kind to yourself today.

Dear Sherry,
I like the picture you paint of a love that can't be conquered by absence.

Thank you Pilgrimage.... you should know that the story is true.  My husband and I were apart for 13 years before being reunited and finally getting married.

Sherry this is a most beautiful love story.
I would very much like to see you compile these into book form.  Well done my friend.
