In Loving memory of my son George
Feb. 24,1960--Dec.5,2000

How Lucky I Was And I Am

And so, I sit in wonderment,
In awe of all that you were.
The beauty of your soul.
The brilliant humor of your mind.
And the immense love in your heart.
How can I live my days without you?
Then again, I feel you are here.
The body dies,
Yet the spirit remains.
And I so feel your warmth around me.
When I do something nice for someone,
I still hear you say "that was so nice Mom."
Such memories I have.
How lucky I was and I am.

Your loving mom

Hugs and prayers for you, Floria...
You have painted a beautiful picture of a mother-son relationship.  No one can ever take away your thoughts.
Another beautiful tribute to George.

strbbux - I can tell from this write that you love him very much. My younger brother was around the same age when I lost him. I love him also. I know it's not the same as a child, but I do miss him...

Very touching thoughts ... I lost a brother at a young age, and even after 32 years, I still have the memories we shared together and think of him almost daily through little things that stir fond moments

Floria, I am so sorry about the lose of your son. This is a very nice poem for your son. I lost my brother when he was only 26 years old. I miss him more than I can say. I have his picture on my wall. Sometimes tears come to my eyes.
