“INTO THE MIST”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
Silhouettes paint shadows
just like pantomimes…
Reminds me of subtle,
been there many times…
Words of yours heard,
transparent as before…
Always changing texture,
when I would adore…
Tired my heart is,
listening to all this…
Deceiving all you know,
all I wanted, a kiss…
Gone into the mist now,
not to return, had enough…
This time you lose,
I called your bluff…
Bill-
Wow...such sadness in this piece.
You've expressed it well.
Happy Valentine's Day to you.
Bill,
I once wrote a piece called into the woods but it wasn't anywhere near as good as this.
Geez, Bill, a kiss is the least we should get, yes?
I understand this poem, too well.
