nothing beside remains, save the undone years
pieces of time and being that lay on the floor
like so many shards of kiln-fired porcelain
waiting to be swept up by the potter
and remade once again from the same unknown form
a form that looks the same from the outside
but yet yields different figurines with each firing
some are set over on the shelves to be kept and shown
like priceless works of art for eyes yet unseen
and others are set back in storage to be held and cared for
by hands that know only love, hands that know only peace
but there comes a time where room must be made
room for new figurines, to be held and looked upon
by new eyes and by new hands in new times and new places
so these time-worn and well-cared-for pieces must be cast aside
some are gently broken, piece by time-infused piece
and others are shattered, thrown against the walls and floor
for they all mean different things to the potter, the creator
then, those pieces are taken and used again
used again to recreate the same forms with differet styles
so that the newest figurines will always have as part of them
pieces of the older ones, pieces that always make themselves known
some silently, others in much more forward ways
but, always there, always known in the heart of the figure
and, when the figurines are turned over
and the potter's signature can be seen by all
that is when we realize that we are all figurines of life
people of the kiln
works of art, created by the same hands
to be admired, and to admire

(smiles) Yes, yes, we are all crafted equally among the hands of God and our hearts are not greenware but rather leather-soft, always like a sponge working to soak up love and compassion and share it among one another with joy! (big hugggssssss) This is a fine work of art, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sven, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Sven, I'd never thought of it all that way. You bring such perspective to my eyes sometimes! Indeed we are all figurines.

Hmm..I get a lot out of this, Sven Pen. Its very serious and it is it just me or is your style changing just a bit..or..would that be your tone? *sigh* Sorry..I'm not one for expressing what I'm trying to say lately. Hope you understand. Enjoyed this very much, my friend.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.
