My poems when unwritten
Can send me quite distraught
When it's done it's well forgotten
Out of mind is out of thought

But when the writing's finished
Posted on the internet
It's as if it never happened
How quickly I forget

I read back over old ones
And wonder what I sought
It seems that once it's written
It's out of mind and out of thought

It's not I am so modest
Or don't know what is what
It just that when I've posted
It's gone and I forgot

It is with awe and wonder
I see the comments there
Reading all those poems
I wrote with deep despair

Remembering the feeling
And not words or rhyme
Out of thought and of mind
Happens all the time

It seems that my small memory
Can contain but one thought
Out of mind is out of sight
That's often what I've wrought.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

(big hugggssssssss) You are never alone, sweet friend, I too have written for over two years and I have over 600 poems written, yet many of the old ones I forget and I always find myself looking over my hard copies in the binder where I keep them all safe and I am astonished at how I've progressed not only in my style but in my emotions as well! (kiss on cheek) You have described this perspective soooooo wonderfully, sweet friend, your words always make me smile, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kethry, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

with orders to deliver, I say to myself..nice
expression of the mechanics of the mind

Keth, thanks for your wonderful thoughts! Again, you inspire me tow write.

Doctor Poetry

When I am sad or feeling blue inside
And need release to let my spirit rise
I write some lines of verse of thoughts I hide
In poetry I wash away all lies.

And then I feel refeshed and go along
A happy soul with new found energy
I walk and skip and run and sing my song
For I got well from doctor Poetry.

'My poems when unwritten

Well ... I can sure relate here~
If it weren't for the ability to pen 'em, I'd be a complete basket case~

Kethry, I know exactly what you mean. If I didn't keep a file of all mine, I am sure I would forget a lot of them.

Dear Keth,
Well written, and I can relate. I never thought I'd write enough poems to have to keep copies to remember. I was wrong. As in so many other areas of life.

Hello Lynne

This was written so well and I could so relate to everything you said.  I don't often have the time to look back at my poems but when I do it sometimes amazes me and I can't help but think "Who was that person that wrote that?"  I find my writing is so often a mood thing.

Take care......Sue

Auntie Kethp my absolute favourite auntie, You are never out of sight, mum has your pic here by the computer. And your smiling face is always within view.

Mum read this one way I read it another, but whatever the interpretation it is excellent writing. I get to read a lot of my favourite aunt’s work and I must say how can you forget such beauties. Now I know you’re going to say that I’m biased because of mum, but you’d be wrong It’s true mum has read your poems to me, but she let me make up my own mind. I, like mum, know what I like and I love your work.

How quickly we forget, eh?
It's good to look back to find out where I have been.
Enjoyed the read.

When I first saw the title, I thought... well geesh... that describes ME for some people... all too well. *G* (I became a nag out of self-defense. *G*)

And then I thought... that could never describe you... for whether you're posting or not, you're in our thoughts... and we mind any absence. *S*

I eventually stopped reading the title and started reading the poem. *G* And lo and behold, I relate to the poem as much as to the title! *G* Words that insist upon my attention... to the detriment of sleep and sanity *G*... disappear from my memory cells the minute they're committed to paper. *G*

I absolutely love this, Kethry! *S*
