Comes the Day There will come a day, when our paths will cross I will at last be found, and never more be lost When in my welcome home, I shall forever be As I come to rest in the arms of thee I shall be your warm sunshine, that which makes you smile You shall be my loving man, making everything worthwhile There shall be no yesterdays, only tomorrow’s memories For us to live in purest joy, while we embrace in we Then in the giving of our gifts of love and devotion We shall traverse together each and every emotion To those secret places known only by the two of us Where we reveal more as we delve into loving trust For I want you to know all of me, my little places of delight Whether you visit them in dawn of day, or in the dark of night I want you to touch and feel the satin of my skin I want you to fathom sweet the depths of my within And what I want from you, my love, is your body next to mine And make all of my dreams come true, a reality in time For there is never a moment that I take a breath to me That you do not reside in the deepest heart of me… When all is done and in sheets we lie, sated and sublime And our looks exchange, your eyes twinkling in mine With a curve of lip, a smile, a beguiling come hither plea… We will again embrace, and wrap ourselves in we…. You know I read that again and if you took out this part... And what I want from you, my love, is your body next to mine And make all of my dreams come true, a reality in time For there is never a moment that I take a breath to me That you do not reside in the deepest heart of me…" it could be a valentine between two friends that can't share for whatever reason, and written in the hopes that one day they can embrace each other in friendship the way the feel they would like to, but then I was just in some fantasy that maybe somewhere, sometime two friends could exchange their love for each other in the fashion of this poem but not "in a romantic kind of way" LOL Oh well, I am off somewhere today, what the heck, re-think people's poems is a pastime. Live today like it was your last day on earth! |
