Into The Heart Of Me I took a journey into the heart of me Passed all the landmarks of my destiny I visited those battlefields scarred and sore Realised that they can’t hurt me anymore Banished those ghosts that haunted me Sent them away mercilessly I’ve touched again my treasures of time Settled my accounts and know I’m fine I wandered those paths of my memory To those places deep inside of me Faced every demon that had haunted me Emerged from each battle victoriously Plunged the sword of truth into my heart Accepted that sometimes love will depart Now I’ve uncovered the inner complexity And I think I like the whole of me I’ve roamed labyrinthine ways of soul Found the leak and plugged the hole Within my heart I’ve learnt to be Opened my wings to soar high and free Taken advice of self and understand How important it is to offer my hand Found peace that I thought was gone Now in my journey I’ll be moving on Marsha To give light to them that sit in darkness..... to guide our feet into the way of peace Luke 2:79 |
