This is to my children...and all children...a
reminder of how precious they are...

Little lives precious and dear
sometimes caught in daily fear
Wanting love to carry them all
in comfort and keep from a fall

Children so much a dear part
of our lives and in our heart
Wanting the simplest of things
nothing fancy, no golden rings

Taking from us what we give
all the wonders of how to live
Feeling our words and touch
needing a little love so much.

Take a child into your arms
and wash away hurts or harms
Give each a hug every morning
as they are little lives growing

It is short...but the message is there..

Oh my gosh...this poem made me call Erin and give her a big hug...*sigh* I will be visiting some of my grandchildren tonight and will remember this poem and give them tons of love...Thank you, Barry...you have touched my heart...this poem is beautiful...**big hugs**

i love children...and they are so lovable
even when they are bad ha..looking forward to holding my new grandchild in August when it is born..nicely done barry..

Barry; You have said some very important things in this poem. Children do take what we give them; oftimes, they deserve so much more then they get. One thing we know, they can never receive too much love. Wonderful poem. Wanda

Yesterday while walking with my granddaughter...I snuggled down to her and whispered "Grandma loves you!"...and she asked, "why do you whisper?" I said "because I wanted you to know!" Then she yelled, "My Grandma LOVES ME!".....

and I wondered...why didn't I?

awww barry! I love children too that is why I took childcare courses and am now certified to work in preschool and daycare.

children really are precious!! I can't wait to have some of my own someday

so totally completely dependant on us..... they are not ours... God just allows us to treasure them, teach them Love and kindness, and be their gaurdians until we release them to fly on their own...

"little" lives so BIG..... a tremendous gift for such an honor we have and a duty ...

Such an important message you have given us here. I guess some of us take things for granted but all our lives are so very precious and can be taken away without a moments notice. We should cherish each day and fill our lives with love.
