My garden is a virtual paradise
So many birds come here to dine
The morning air is so crisp and refreshing
And the sun has just begun to shine

It is Autumn here in Melbourne
And I have so many things to do
But for now I'll just enjoy my coffee
As I soak up this wondrous view

So many blooms there are around me
As I watch the blackbirds grace the skies
This paradise is constantly changing
A veritable feast before my eyes

Gardenias are a favourite
As well as jasmine, wisteria and rose
I give them tender loving care
As I shower them with the hose

This only enhances their perfume
As I inhale deeply with much delight
These fragrances linger constantly
Especially late at night

The shadows are becoming longer
As this day is nearly done
Within the next few hours
My garden will be void of sun

So I'll retire inside my home
And cut some flowers to take inside
To my garden I'll return tomorrow
This favourite place where I often reside

YAY!!! Oh my gosh, I can't wait until the spring comes to me and all the flowers in me and my mom and dad's garden bloom, I love to spend so much time in the garden too when everything blooms, it's sooooooo beautiful! (kiss on cheek) We all love you so much, sweet friend, your gorgeous words always bring spring to these pages! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Lovely picture you paint here Sue. You are going into fall, as we’re going into spring. Our flowers will be out soon. Well, not mine, as I’m a terrible gardener. But I’m looking at some beautiful flowers right now that someone sent me, and they bring great joy. Just as your garden does.

If she who dies with the most toys wins, then can I have some toy boys please?

I can't begin to tell you how beautiful this poem is in not only the picture you have created with your words but also in the gentle flow of it.  I hope you don't mind but I printed it and will read it to the seniors at the center next week.  I was honored by what you said in your email to me about this poem and others of your garden Sue, but it is you that have always had this poetry in you, and you inspired yourself!

This is a little something for you form me, for all the beauty you project from that garden of yours.  I sure wish I could see it, and if  you have pictures email them to me okay?

Thank you all for enjoying a walk through my garden.

Sharon, you truly humbled me with your words and the accompanying picture was lovely.  Thank you for your friendship and neverending kindness.  I'd be honoured if you were to read my poem out to the seniors, thank you so much.

Take care......Sue

Sue:  I so enjoyed this poem and could almost picture you out there in your garden, tending the flowers.  How wonderful for you to have such a place.  I can tell how much you enjoy it.
