The heart of you

0 posted 2002-02-14 11:18 AM

Be still my heart, for night soon comes again,
And with it, the soft light that streams
Into my window from the Eastern horizon.
The moonlight of my Juliet.
A light that blinds my eyes to all others,
A light that fills my soul with her passion and fire,
A light that takes me to the brink of obsession
for want of needing her so.

Every night, her voice speaks to me in dreams,
For it is the final sound I hear
Before I enter the realm of sleep.
She speaks to me, and I speak of my love for her.
A love that fills my mind with words not worthy,
A love that causes my pen to write in sonnets unknown,
A love that inspires me to be more than poet only;
I am inspired to be artist and creator.

She is the moon that fills my darkened sky.
Her warm, bright face causes my own to smile uncontrollably.
She takes away all of my feelings of loss and dread,
And replaces them with feelings of love and desire so great,
That I fear sometimes that my heart will burst.
Ah, but even if my heart were to burst, I would die happy,
For I would have died loving her,
she who has healed my bruised and broken heart.

But, I have not died yet, my fellow humans,
I live even more today, knowing that she loves me as equal.
Long had she too searched for a sky to fill with her light,
A sky that would greet her with stars of welcome,
With touching, sensual breezes of silk and satin,
And with the songs of the night and dark.
Songs sung by the rarest of voices and melodies,
created by me, only for her beautiful existence.

My stars scintillate and shine to welcome her yet again.
Tonight, she is weary from her travels in the galaxy,
And I am ready to give to her tired arc needed rest.
She waxes and wanes as my breezes comfort her,
She spins softly to their touch as I caress her surface,
And this calmness fills me with joy and comfort as well;
For she is my all, she is my light, without her in me,
I am naught but black and void.

She now rises again tonight, oh people of creation.
She rises again, and with gladness, I give a gift to her,
I give to her the most brilliant of my stars to adorn her face.
And, in the dark vastness of myself, I have created something.
I have created the greatest work of my love for her,
A work that will remain for all eternity, and for all eternities.
I have written her name in my stars,
as she has written her love in my heart.

What light through yon window breaks?  It is the east, and Juliet is the sun.

Okay..my breath caught with this one, Dear Romeo...and so did my heart...and now you've brought tears to my eyes. This is beautiful, and I believe the most indepth one that you have done so far. You're amazing.
