A Simple Truth About Love

In search of love I could only hope
my God would bless all the times I prayed
about the possibilities of love.

In the beginning of my pursuit
of love I thought love to be
a very complicated endeavor.

Until one day I reached out in tenderness
to a sweet one that seemed to share the
same desires as I for the beauty of love.
And now I feel that love is not
so complicated after all.

Love is simply an honest
expression from the heart
of one willing to trust
and to give.

The complications come when
the object of our affections
has not received or is unwilling
to pursue this simple truth.

I liked this, and even a more simple message is that a lot more relationships would work if their partner would simply just let them "be". Great poem JamesMichael

Oh my gosh, I couldn't agree with you more, sweet friend, pure love always comes from the heart and when we are faithful and honest to each other, love will always prevail and be nurtured with joy!
