Torpid temptings
flames aspire
lick the pot
of all desire
spread the fire
so it won't burn
the essences
of lessons learned...

Too many clouds
have crossed my moon
too many voices
singing tunes
crowding harmonies
of head
a footbridge built
from bones of dead.

I summon
principalities
yearning equal
to my need
I dig a hole
to plant the seed--
a hole within
the midst of me.

I am the ground
in frozen chill,
as winter lingers
fighting till.

I am the earth.
I am the sky.
I am this flame
of teasing fry...

A chalice now
in toast of love:
what lies below
reflects above.

Stir the fires
embers hot to
keep that poet pot
burning hot

Mine is so corny, yours is so magical! My cauldron isn't even simmering tonight.

I wish I could write like this, too.  This is wonderful, Karen.  Love your imagery.

Stirring up the pot a little, hm? This is a spell waiting to be cast. And so you did.

Well, you know what they say about never being able to get enough coven...  er... or was that lovin'.  (please forgive, it's been a long weekend)  In any event, you do have a special way with the English language.  Taking notes here.  Very nicely written.
