Daybreak Symphony

On the first morning after yesterday
I woke with a startle, from a dream
unbelievable pandemonium
escorted early light's first sunbeam

all the scraping and sawing and banging
an uproar of clanging cacophony
deep voices, bellowing above my head
as they played their discordant symphony

outside the window, I saw shrapnel fly
hitting the deck with a blast
followed by an explosion of gunshots
grabbing my robe, I ran out of there...fast

wishing I'd worn something bulletproof
I looked up to see men, fixing my roof

(giggles in delight) Awwwwwww dang, I hate it when that happens, although I too find roosters to be too loud too! (smiles) We all love your gorgeous words, sweet friend, you are a delight to us all and your lovely words and pictures always make me smile, hope they got the job done! (kiss on cheek) You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lyra, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Lyra - You definitely had me fooled.  When I saw the title of this, I was expecting some springtime poem, with birds chirping away.  I never expected that it would be a construction crew on your roof.  Thanks for keeping me on my toes.

Noah...Thanks for your reply and I'm glad that it made you laugh, but those guys were roofers....not roosters...LOL

Karilea...thank you and I was happy to provide you with the chuckle

SR...thank you and this is actually a true story, believe it or not.

Victoria...thanks for your reply...but it wasn't a dream...this was actually a true story.  Those roofers started banging and tearing at 7 AM.
Imagine if I had forgotten my robe...LOL
that might have made them stop working for a couple of minutes

Dave...thank you...and I can't believe I actually fooled you because you are so smart...but as I told Victoria...this is actually a true story!
