There once was a sailor who loved to sail the sea.
It made him feel wild and free.
He sailed from one end of the earth to another.
His shipmates remained his only brothers.
Then one morning they set ashore.
To somewhere they had never been before.
He walked all around the town.
And couldn't believe the wonders he'd found.
So many ships and so many things.
He had no idea what the night would bring.
He walked into a bar across the street.
Alot of friendly people he did meet.
All of a sudden the piano began to play.
And a beautiful voice along it's way.
He looked up and saw her standing there.
The most beautiful woman, the most fairest of fair.
She mesmerized him with her beauty and voice.
As if he had no will or had no choice.
At the bar they met once again.
And very quicly became great friends.
Then without speaking a word.
They sensed each other and were heard.
They left the bar hand in hand.
This beautiful woman and this seafaring man.
They spent the night in a little room upstairs.
They night they had was thiers to share.
Then in came the morning light.
The tears it seemed she had to fight.
Remember me always as she gave him a kiss on the cheek.
One day, once again the two of us shall meet.
The sailor went aboard his ship.
It wasa time to take a very long trip.
The waves seemed to carry them on.
And the wind seemed to sing her beautiful song.
As he stared into the sun each day.
He remembered the warmth that had come his way.
And when he looked into the moon each night.
His heart filled with so much delight.

Awwwwww this is so beautiful and sweet.  I'm the wife of a Navy man, and even though we grew up in towns five minutes apart, and met each other through a mutual friend, I have felt this same way each time my husband leaves.  I can understand how their hearts ached when he had to leave her.

Live today as if it's your last.  Love today as if it's your first.   Lisa
