Was it just yesterday
that we frolicked, played out
our love's emotions?
Didn't I hear the sweet
splendor of your laughter?
Then...I came along
and stole some of your thunder.
We were caught
in an intricate dance
of egos, of wanting to have
our moment in the thunder.Showers
catching us, lightening striking.
And, we exploded our overwhelming
passion onto white paper
which waited to be breathed upon
with inspiration, with tempestuous
words...that roared out their thunder.

Ivy Rose,
Does that make those feelings official when they are documented? The storm fits your experience well. Nice write.

Ivy, this sounds serious.

When lightning and thunder blaze through dark night
Nature is saying let God make it right
Calm the heavens the land and the sea
In a silver lining of purity.

Whatever happens, God bless you!

I guess that I never really thought of it
like that before...but it is so true!

Some poetry is spectacular in content and hue!

I like the thought of egos colliding, only to merge in a thunderous acclaim...I like this very much, Ivy...
