Oh life's a bounteous feast
it's inhabitants all rich
where the most share with the least
And I'm the Earl of Sandwich

In this world there is no woe
it's an earth where peace prevails
here there's highs, there are no lows
And I am the Prince of Wales

On this globe it never rains
fresh air, each breath momentous
it's a calm and blessed domain
And I'm the Doge of Venice

Sunny days and moonlit night
kindly sphere who's never dark
where we Love and never fight
And I am Saint Joan of Arc

Here no shame nor ever blame
we're a blithe and happy chorus
to all fame's a given name
And I'm Robin of the forest.

Kudos to Dorothy Parker

Oh this is so entertaining and the only one I wouldn't want to be RS is the prince of wales with those big ears. LOL, this was enjoyable. floria

Reading the title had me humming "Duke duke duke Duke of Earl"... Reading your poem makes me wish you bore those titles.... what a kingdom! *S* I enjoyed this very much.

Ditto Suthern Richard, I liked that song.  Yanno...sometimes I would like to jump inside your mind when you see a simple thing in life because you can make the craziest story out of the strangest things, and every time I end up laughing like crazy.  You realize of course I will be singing this song all day right?     Very creative, and what's the point of telling you how good you are at rhyme, it a given!  (I did get it - and know who Robin is) just in case you wondered that is.
