how do words look
when you look at them
close up?

do they look the same
as when you look at them
from far away?

does the word "word"
look like a word
or does it look like
four letters?

does a "w" look like a "w"
or, does it look like
a double "u"?
(why do they call it that?)

so, what do words look like
when you look at them
close up?

they look
like
words

Unless, of course, I've forgotten my glasses. *G* Then, up close, they look like blurs. LOL

I like this, Sven... Just yesterday, I was telling someone that I write longhand... but that doesn't give me any feel for how the poem will look ... and sometimes the look of the words changes the words. *S* It seems our minds were on similar paths. *S*

(giggles) Yep yep yep, I guess they are just words but nevertheless they can create so much beauty in the poetry we create! The world may neve rknow how the definition of W came to be! LOL! (smiles) We all love you so much, sweet friend, this is excellent! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sven, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

(smling) When looked at closely..I can see a great deal of space in each, holding perhaps a myriad of meaning or perhaps a world of misunderstanding... look close enough and they look crude...poor representations of the ideas or objects or feelings the are to represent... perhaps... they look like our lives my friend.

Like this....sometimes it is best if we don't
look at them too closely...might see just
the words...and not the meaning...

SVEN PEN!
So THIS is what you've been up to!

always a thoughtful write from you.

How grave is my condition, for I cannot find the words to say, I need you so.

You are far too young to be pulling that magnifying glass out Sven...put it away now, pick up the pen, and write a few more words, all right?  All right!

some words look like love
some look like hate
some look like heartache
others like fate

some words look like nothing
while still others look too real
the words I like best
are those that make me feel

I liked this very much Sven

I really enjoy the way you play, my friend.  Wish I could play with you, but, alas, I, the pupil, still have lots to learn from the master in the way of  the WORD.

Added note here --- funny I would be reading your "ethereal" wonderings just as I'm listening to an
instrumental piece called "Priests & Shamans".  Really fit!

Duncan, hey, fun is what it's all about. . . thank you. . .

suthern, it does seem that they were my friend. . .just goes to show you that great minds think alike. . . thank you. . .

Noah, we may never know indeed. . . and yes, they're more than words. . . thanks. . .

Capt Hair, yes. . .that's it. . . right there. . . well said my friend. . .thank you . . .

Cerenity, nice to see you again my friend. . . you've been missed. . . and thank you for stopping by. . .

Magnus, yes, that's right as well. . . but, can you see the meaning without seeing the word??  thank you Sir. . .

vandana, always enjoy seeing your name my friend. . .

Temptress, no, actually, I'm up to about 5'10" . . . thank you my friend. . .

Lady, too young??  ME?? ah, but my friend, you know that I am indeed far older than my words suggest. . . perhaps a few thousand more then??  yes. . . thank you. . .

SEA, those are indeed the best words of all. . . thank you very much. . .

jwesley, I am but a pupil as well my friend. . . I still have a lot to learn. . . and yes, it is indeed interesting that you should be listening to "Priests and Shamans" as you were reading. . . the right music is always good for reading the musings of a mind. . . thank you Sir. . .
