It always takes two
Lightening and rain
To create a spectacular thunder

It always takes two
to make a couple
and three to tear it asunder.

It always takes two,
a child and God
to teach an adult to pray.

It always takes two,
morning and night
to create one whole day.

It always takes two
to start a fight
that then becomes a war.

It always takes two
any two at all
to know what we're fighting for.

It always takes two
a reader and poet
to put magic in what we write

It always takes two
just you and me
to do what we think is right.

I like this flow, from a reader to a poet.

Thank you all!! This was a challenge poem from WAY before these forums. We had just started on the previous forum here at Passions (Old Blue) and I wrote this one at work one day.

===================================

this is very cool...I love the rhyme scheme you chose as well as the analogies.
Its both fascinating and impressive to think about how big this forum/site is now when  hearing of its early days. And youve been here all along. Thats something to be proud of

So it seems your saving grace was only saving face,
you thought he was wanting you...
but he was only wanting you to let him off the hook.

When I first joined I was terrified and awed by everyone's talent. I never told anyone my real first name in the beginning because I was sure I would only be around for a few months...and here it is, 3 years later!
